1. Transmission Slipping

• Step 1: Find the oil reservoir in the ZT-2800 which is usually at the back of it.
• Step 2: Check the oil level using the dipstick inside of the oil reservoir 
• Step 3: If the oil level is below required level, refill the oil.

Damaged Gears or belt

• Step 1: Carefully examine the gears and see if any of them is damaged or worn out. If yes, you will need to replace them.
• Step 2: Check the belt for any damages or clipping and replace them if needed. Also make sure that the belt tension is to the manufacturer recommended level.

2. Loss of power

Reduced power production occurs when the transmission cannot create the required hydraulic pressure due to cavitation, which is the buildup of air inside the transmission.

• Step 1: At first block the non power wheels and hoist the drive wheels above the ground.
• Step 2: Now you will need to refill the oil in transaxle at the proper recommended level.
• Step 3: Once, oil is filled on both side; start the engine and advance the throttle to normal operating speed
• Step 4: Slowly move the directional control to forward, neutral and reverse direction. 
• Step 5: You will need to repeat this movement process 5-6 times.
• Step 6: Now shut off the engine and close the bypass valve. After closing the bypass valve, restart the engine on the machine.
• Step 7: Again start to move the directional control in forward and reverse motion and repeat the process 6 times. After finishing the process, close off the bypass valve.

Clogged Air filter

If you are using your vehicle regularly, there is very less chance of air cavitation. So, if you’re losing power in this instance you will need to check the air filter. 

Check the air filter and if you see it’s clogged up, simply replace it with a new one. 

3. Noisy Transmission
